‘GIVING LIFE’ is a private website run by Andrew Chapman and Adam Duke and provides stories and information about the Organ Donation Process.
It charts the pathway of theOrgan Donation Process, the people involved and their dedication to applying the gift of life.
An exhibition of photographs, GIVING LIFE, has been developed in conjunction with Donate Life Victoria .
You can register to donate at www.donatelife.gov.au and most importantly, when you do it, make sure that you let your nearest and dearest know of your intentions. Don’t put it off, do it NOW!!!!
Why is Andrew passionate about this issue?
In 2011 he was fortunate enough to receive a donor liver, when he had only days to live. Ten years on he has been lucky enough to have experienced a whole lot of life, one that he was not destined to travel through. Life is a wonderfull experience and he is forever grateful to all those who made this possible, especially the donor and his family. You can see a video about Andrew’s journey here.
Adam was formerly the Communications Manager with Donate Life Australia and retains a keen interest in health policy in Australia.
